A big thank-you to hospital staff, for the critical work that they do, from Mr Barnaby Smith, highly regarded, to the nursing staff nothing was too much trouble, it was almost a pleasure to be unwell, well almost. Perhaps Simon Bridges [who could be PM one day], and Glen, office manager, who were a great help in getting me a new WOF. could perhaps assist the nursing staff to get a better deal, when they have ongoing training, which they have to do, no matter how long they have been on the job. The Tauranga Hospital complete with the lazy boy chairs, is a joy to behold, but please do not rush to have a look, as they have enough patients already already.

I moved to Tauranga some two and half years ago and have to agree the hospital here is so much better than Auckland as far as service goes it is like living in a different country. I have a an aged in law we look after and she gets appointments at the hospital here in a matter of weeks unlike Auckland where at times it has been nine months. The staff are pleasant and very helpful all areas are clean and tidy and there is no smell. I have had occasion myself to have to be helped by the hospital since I moved here I found it to be so much better a place to be in than Auckland. The management and staff of Tauranga hospital should be proud of themselves. Alastair Bethlehem
