Three arrested on the North Shore

Three men will appear in court today charged with aggravated robbery after two incidents on the North Shore early Thursday morning.

Two men, 20 and 22, have been arrested for the aggravated robbery of the Mobil Service Station in Northcote Road at 12.50am.

A male staff member who was on duty at the Service Station was not injured. 

He has received Victim Support assistance.

No shots were fired and some cash and property was stolen.

Another man, 22, has been arrested after an incident at the Northcote shopping centre, where the driver of a bread truck was robbed of a small amount of cash.

Police say this incident happened at 2am.

The middle aged truck driver was shaken by the experience.

He has also been receiving assistance from Victim Support.

All three alleged offenders were located at a nearby address in Northcote by a police dog and his handler.

A replica pistol and other items used in the two robberies were located at the address.  Enquiries are continuing.
