Tauranga rugby player and top performing flanker Tanerau Latimer has today re-signed with the Chiefs for another two seasons of Super Rugby.

The ex-Tauranga Boys’ College student and former All Black has signed with the Chiefs franchise until 2014.

Tanerau Latimer has resigned with the Chiefs until 2014.

The 26-year-old, who has his first child on the way, is thrilled with the decision.

“I am a Chiefs player through and through.

“I love the region, the team and can think of no better place to raise a family than New Zealand.”

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says the team is “really wrapped” with Tanerau’s re-signing.

“He is a top man, with exceptional work ethic and has a positive influence on our team as part of our leadership group.

“He epitomises everything we want in a Chiefs player.”

The Chiefs will play the Lions in Auckland on Saturday at 7.35pm.
