One of the three people charged with manslaughter in relation to the deaths of two sisters killed in a car crash on Christmas Day is likely to go to trial to defend the charges.
Haki Davy, 17, appeared in Tauranga District Court today charged with manslaughter in relation to the deaths of Brooklyn, 13, and Merepeka, 14, Morehu-Clark, the two sisters killed in a car crash on Welcome Bay Road on December 25.
Police investigate the car crash that killed two Tauranga sisters on Welcome Bay Road on Christmas Day.
At the appearance Lawyer Paul Mabey QC indicated Davy will be defending the charge.
Haretaka Reihana, 20, and the mother of the two girls Phillippa Morehu, 36, also appeared in court charged with manslaughter in relation to the deaths.
