Mainland and Anchor butter recalled

Mainland and Anchor butter is being recalled after the manufacturer found fine, sharp metal objects in some packets.

Recalls include Mainland salted butter in 500gm blocks with the batch number CV 12 and best before date of January 10, 2013.

As well as Anchor salted butter in 500gm blocks with the batch number CV 28 and best before date of January 26, 2013.

The recall is being listed on the consumer.org.nz website and people are being advised not to consume the butter.

People should return the product to the place of purchase with appropriate packaging for a full refund.
