Why is it our elected politicians are not encouraged to read the ‘real’ historical stories of New Zealand. There are abundant records in our many archives, museums, websites and books written by researchers that tell us our land was inhabited 2000 years ago by a sophisticated people who arrived in junks, long before Maori arrived. Asian rate bones have been carbon dated at 2 thousand years old and as rats are not long distance swimmers, humans must have brought them here. Ground-penetrating radar surveys have been undertaken in the South Island that tell an astonishing story. Accelerometer mass spectrography and carbon dating tests were conducted by a professional laboratory and Waikato University, and have proved that the peoples inhabiting NZ at that time were using ore smelting processes known only to the Chinese and a handful of the very, very ancient cultures.
There is ample evidence of our oceans being mapped for exploration by the ancient sailors long before Cook claimed NZ and Columbus claimed the America’s.
If John Key, David Shearer, Russel Norman, Winston Peters, Peter Dunne and their party members were to get their heads out of the sand and read the true history of New Zealand we may have a chance of moving forward from the grievance gravy train that has been established by radical maori. We have 30/35 years of misinformation and anomalous claims that are seriously undermining our nationhood.
Misinformed politicians are largely to blame for the racial foment we live in today.
