NOT - first in NZ : NOT - Indigenous : NOT - anything special .NO basis for Waitangi rorts which are a severe drain on our social and economic wellbeing.Best outcome just let them be New Zealanders like the rest of us and get on with moving forward.

Very well put and from what I have seen and read the evidence is almost overwhelming so why would the NZ Government seek to block public access to it- you have to ask that question.Eventually it all has to come out and the control of any archaelogical or historical sites must to be held by the NZ public through the NZ Government not the looters.They must be protected.While we are at it lets have an acknowledgement of the correct version of the Treaty of Waitangi which is the Littlewood "draft" which is fully supported almost word for word by the Maori version anyway !!!! A lot of good current information is available through the New Zealand Centre for Politial Research (NZCPR) @ www.nzcpr.com.To wind up one point needs to be clearly made - maori are not indigenous to NZ they came here probably around 1400 from somewhere else.They were not even the first to settle NZ and even if they were there is no need to continue to perpetrate the Waitangi rorts on NZ. STOP IT

You’re absolutely right on the button Maureen. Did anybody know that Arabs were living in Taupo when it exploded in c185AD. Yes they were and a Professor had a research grant to work on it for 7 years under the Clarke Govt. He WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO PRINT under the terms of his grant. The Kaimanawa wall is another example of old occupation. Ordinary people are the ones to force the pollies to change because they have been feeding us all b…s for years ably assisted by our press & radical Maori. Have you noticed that not even our outspoken Bay Sun has ever printed any of this type of information. There is an absolute clamp on it in all the papers just to satisfy the Maori vote. Why do we not see any of these previous occupants,Phonecian, Arab, Chinese, Celtic, Viking, Egyptian etc etc. BECAUSE those that were here when Maori arrived were annihilated, kept in holes in the ground prior to being eaten. Why has Maori blocked people going to the standing stones in Waipoua??? BECAUSE they have dismantled a lot of it. Why did the Clarke Govt have DOC employees working on the west coast of the NI dismantling stone structures, barrows etc?? BECAUSE it would prove that Maori were not the first people. In fact Maori were by there own admission only here approx 400 years before Europeans. Years ago the old elders talked about the "other people" & when you asked what happened to them – there would be a blank because they knew what happened. People NEED TO DEMAND THE TRUTH be brought into the open and admitted and discussed not held under wraps by the Pollies to satisfy 15% of the population.
