Tony Ryall has said 60 people coming off a plane from Japan with flu-like symptoms on board is nothing to be concerned about. What!
He goes on to say that it is just “seasonal flu”. So now he is a doctor who can diagnose from afar and dismiss it. Just as well the airport staff had more common sense. (The grass roots people usually do).
Sixty people on the same plane, with the same symptoms, is in my opinion, something to be concerned about. We just cannot makes guesses about “Seasonal flu”.
With the stronger viruses now attacking us, we need to take every precaution and err on precaution’s side, and take no risks, which the airport staff wisely did.
What are we paying these people in Parliament for? Why does this man believe he can “Downplay” something he had not at that time examined closely.
Did he wait for a doctor’s report and a Lab swab to tell him how virulent or benign this virus is? or did he out of the top of his head make this assessment?
No... he was “briefed” and didn’t follow up personally such a serious matter. We cannot be too careful. He has lost my vote for this alone.
