Flat Stanley is riding around Tauranga with SunLive photographer Tracy Hardy.
Flat Stanley is getting a taste of the news business in Tauranga as he accompanies SunLive news photographer Tracy Hardy out on her job.
On Wednesday the pair visited different emergency services in the city; police, firefighters and St John Ambulance.

Flat Stanley meets St John Ambulance first aid responder Kevin Burrows from the Tauranga station.
News media work closely with emergency services to help them educate the public on important safety issues.

Flat Stanley meets firemen Robert Pinkerton, Phil Price, Brendon Grylls and Martin Quaite at Tauranga Fire Station.
As a photographer, Tracy also attends many dangerous situations where emergency services are working such as car crashes and house fires.

Flat Stanley meets Mount Maunganui Police Community Constable Rachel Walker.
On Wednesday, Tracy also visited a school.
She went to Mount Maunganui Primary School where she introduced Flat Stanley to the children in room one.
See video below of these children saying what they like most about living in Tauranga and its beach suburb, Mount Maunganui.
