Please read terms and conditions below before entering the Bay Beaches photo competition.
1. Sun Media and Tourism Bay of Plenty reserve the right to store electronically any photographs entered in this promotion and to use them free of charge in any of their online and print publications as well as on their Facebook pages. Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs.
2. To enter the promotion, entrants must provide their full name, age (if under-17-years), current and valid email address, phone number, date the photo was taken, the location photographed and a short caption about what can be seen in the photo, including the names of the people pictured. Photos are to be emailed to newsroom@thesun.co.nz. Please ensure you have the permission of the main subjects in your photo before submitting it to us.
3. Promotion winners consent to the publication of their name and submitted photo.
4. Photos can be taken on the beaches and harbours from Waihi Beach to Whakatane, including the surrounding islands.
5. Photos must be the property of the entrant and must be of reasonable quality, minimum size 1MB.
6. Photos must have been taken from December 2011 to February 3, 2012.
7. The competition closes on February 3, 2012 at 5pm. The entries will be judged by Sun Media general manager Ross Brown and Tourism BOP general manager Glenn Ormsby.
8. The winners will be announced February 17, 2012 and contacted by phone. Winning photos will be published on SunLive and in The Weekend Sun.
9. The judges’ decision is final.
10. Employees of Sun Media and Tourism Bay of Plenty are not eligible to enter the competition.
11. The first prize for under-17s is a family pass prize to Waimarino, valid between 17/02/2012 and 17/08/2012 for up to two adults and three children. The second prize is a family pass to Kiwi360, Te Puke. The first prize for 17 and over is the White Island tour prize with Pee Jay White Island Tours, valid between 21/01/2012 and 21/07/2012. The second prize for the 17 and over is a jet boat ride for two at Kaituna Jets.
12. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
13. Prizes cannot be used with any other offer.
14. Prizes are not transferable.
