Motorists in the Ohauiti area are reporting massive traffic delays this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says she is currently stuck in traffic on Hollister Lane.

"It has taken me 30 minutes to go 100m.

"Nobody can get out. It's just nuts."

There have been no reported crashes in the area, but there were reports of a tree down on Ohauiti Road earlier this morning.

There have also been some resealing works taking place on State Highway 29a, between Poike and Oropi roads.

NZTA says the sealing was completed on Sunday night and the 50km/h temporary speed limit will be removed today.

The roading agency says people should expect delays.

Why are we having so many traffic jams - have the Buildong Consent people taken over traffic management?
