Deportation pending for trio

Two middle-eastern men and one Pacific Islander could be leaving New Zealand after being arrested on Monday in Tauranga in relation to immigration removal orders.



The three men were arrested at different places around the city on Monday morning. The 35 year old middle-eastern man was arrested from an address on Maunganui Road, the second middle-eastern man was arrested from an address on Waihi Road and the Pacific Islander man was arrested from Henderson Crescent in Merivale.
Police are unsure when they will be appearing in court.
In a separate incident, a 48 year old man from Tilby Drive in Matua was arrested at 2.08pm and charged with shoplifting.
Police say the man stole items from the New World supermarket in Brookfield.
At 12.35pm on Monday, an 18 year old man employed as a farm hand was arrested on Old Coach Road in Te Puke and charged with burglary.
The Paengaroa man will appear in Tauranga District Court on Tuesday.
Also arrested at 10.23pm on Monday was a 45 year old man from Tawa Street, who was charged with breaching a protection order and wilful damage.
