Kia ora, Sunners, and welcome to the end of the week.

It's Sunday in mid-January, so most of you will be thinking about getting outside and enjoying summer.

Weather-wise, MetService is predicting cloudy periods with a few showers, as we prepare to get whacked with some decent rain next week. The high will 24, with an overnight low of 19, so expect a certain degree of humidity.

For those looking to get a dose of the country life, the Tauranga A&P Lifestyle Show is on today at the Tauranga Racecourse. There will be farm animals, shearing displays, a multitude of stalls, and plenty of entertainment for the kids. The show is on from 10am-4pm. Entry is $10 for adults and children under 12 attend free. All ticket holders go in the draw for a $1000 cash prize as well as spot prizes.

The Bay Oval is also hosting a match between India and Australia as part of the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The game begins at 2pm, and entry is free, so no excuse not to take the family down and watch the next generation of rising cricket stars.
