What’s On? Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams will be playing at ASB Baypark tonight after his January 5 concert was postponed. File photo.

Good morning, SunLive stalwarts, and welcome to another Sunday.

Hopefully you'll all be feeling fresher than you were on New Year's Day a week ago.

The past week has been a wet one, which some people have enjoyed, as it means the garden gets a good drenching. Today, MetService predicts showers, some heavy, during the morning, before the skies clear this afternoon. The high is for a modest 21, while sleeping should be easy with an overnight low of 15 forecast.

This is all great news for Bryan Adams fans, who should be enjoying the veteran entertainer's music tonight at ASB Baypark after his January 5 show was postponed due to bad weather.

With flooding on several roads around the city and trees down on roads leading into Tauranga on Friday, many patrons planning to attend the concert spent the day on social media calling for the event to be postponed or cancelled.

Neptune Entertainment initially announced via its Facebook page that the event was still going ahead, but later postponed it until today.

Gates to the concert open at 4pm, with The Jordan Luck band playing from 5-5.30pm, and Dave Dobbyn playing from 6-6.30pm. Bryan himself is expected to take the stage at 7pm for a two hour set.

Tickets and event info can be found here.
