12 injured in Paengaroa crash

Police and emergency services are at the scene of a three car crash on SH33, Paengaroa, Western Bay of Plenty.
The crash occurred around 9.45pm this evening.
"At least 12 people have been injured," says police.
"One person has serious injuries, and the other occupants have injuries ranging from moderate to minor."
The road is currently closed as both lanes are blocked and will be for the next four hours. 
"Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area."
