Two crashes overnight

Emergency services were called to two separate crashes overnight.

The first happened at around 10pm at the intersection of Fraser Street and 17th Ave.

A police spokesperson says two cars were involved, both of which had to be towed.

A St John spokesperson says three people, including a child, were taken to Tauranga Hospital with minor injuries as a result.

Another crash happened at around 1am on the Eastern Link toll road. A police spokesperson says only a single vehicle was involved, with the cause of the crash unknown.

A St John spokesperson says the driver was taken to Tauranga Hospital with minor injuries. A passenger was uninjured, and taken home by police.
