Good morning Sunners and to those of you who have already began your holidaying season I hope it's started off well!

For the rest of us working through... Well, at least we can all find satisfaction in the fact there's only two more sleeps until everyone's favourite holiday of the year.

And it looks like the big guy in red will be making an early appearance at Te Puke's Christmas in the Park event this weekend, which will double as an appeal for the Empowerment Food Bank.

Te Puke Christmas in the Park will take place at Jubilee Park next to New World on Saturday, December 23, from 3-7pm.

The fun-filled family event will include a market, food stalls, entertainment, kids' rides and, of course, an appearance from the man himself.

Entry is by donation of a non-perishable food item for the Empowerment Food Bank Appeal.
