Potholes not to blame for fatal crash

Police have released the name of the Tauranga man killed in a crash.

Adrian Carlisle Hetet died following a crash on State Highway 29, Lower Kaimai, on Saturday evening.

Two other people were injured in the crash.

"Police's thoughts are with the family and friends during this time," says police.

"The serious crash unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. Police can confirm that there were no road surface defects of potholes that may have contributed to the crash."

There were worse potholes in Whakatane, Rotoroa, and wherever else the bad weather hit. If people drive to the conditions you shouldn't have to suffer. I saw roading crews trying to fix these all weekend long in the pouring rain Good job!
