Rugby fans have come far and wide for some good old rivalry, as the Bay of Plenty Steamers takes on Waikato in a battle of the Kaimais.

Today at 2.35pm marks the final Mitre 10 Cup round robin match at the Tauranga Domain, where the turnout is expected to be massive.

Aside from the grueling game, Barrett Homes charity match day in support of Trillian Trek will have plenty to offer for an exciting family day.

There will be plenty of giveaways and activities, such as More FM painting the crew blue and gold the Whanau Zone, where kids will eat free with their kids' ticket thanks to Mount Maunganui New World.

During the half-time, rugby fans have the option between some food from Little Big Markets and a cold brew from Mount Brewing Co.

If you haven't got a tickets yet you've still time- Tickets are available online for all Steamers Mitre 10 Cup home games at www.boprugby.co.nz or www.ticketmaster.co.nz

Alternatively tickets can be purchased from the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union offices, at any Ticketmaster outlet or at the gate on game day. Adults $20, students $10, children under 14 $5 and under 5s attend free. Additional ticketing fees will apply.

If you can't make it to the game- no worries- many bars in the CBD will be backing their local team.

If rugby isn't the thing for you, here are some of SunLive's other recommendations.
