Black mould causes urgent recall

An urgent recall has been announced nationwide for a popular brand of cold and flu relief products.

AFT Pharmaceuticals is recalling two batches of Maxiclear Sinus and Pain Relief (Batch PPGEA7001A Expiry: Feb 2020) and Maxiclear Cold and Flu Relief (Batch PPGEB7001A Expiry: Feb 2020) which are available in packs of 30 tablets.

'This recall is being conducted as black mould has been found in the tablets,” says AFT Pharmaceuticals chief executive Dr Hartley Atkinson.

'The mould is identified as a penicillin.

'This recall is being undertaken in consultation with Medsafe, Ministry of Health.”

Public are urged to check if they have affected products and to return it to their nearest pharmacy where will they will be given a replacement product or a refund.

....Black Mould?..were these packaged at a TCC run site :)?
