Tauranga has made the list, as legendary Bryan Adams announces his four-date New Zealand summer tour.

The iconic Bryan Adams will bring his GET UP world tour to Tauranga and the rest of New Zealand early next year, taking in some of New Zealand's most iconic and picturesque outdoor summer venues.

Presented by Neptune Entertainment and The Breeze, the tour starts on January 2 at Matakana Country Park north of Auckland, then travels to the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth on January 4.

Tauranga will then get to enjoy the show at ASB Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui on January 5, before winding up at Black Barn Vineyards in Hawkes Bay on January 6.

Festival promoter Pato Alvarez is expecting a huge show.

'We're pretty excited for this show, it's probably one of the biggest acts Tauranga's seen in a long time.

'This is a world class artist coming to Tauranga, his show is amazing and this is a guy who sells out entire stadiums.”

The concert sees Adams and a full live band visiting Tauranga for the first time.

'We picked four cities, and obviously being a local with a link to Tauranga that helped secure our region as a part of the New Zealand tour.

'I'm from Tauranga, and we see the potential of the city, we have a good relationship with the venue, with Police and with councils so we figure why not keep working where things are working well.

Adams was last in New Zealand in 2013 with his Bare Bones Tour, but this will be the first time since 2003 that he will bring his full live band.

The Grammy and multi-award winning artist has spent the past three decades making music history. He's sold more than 65 million records worldwide, making him one of best-selling music artists of all time.

He rose to fame in 1983 with his CUTS LIKE A KNIFE album, which contained the hits ‘Straight From The Heart', ‘Cuts Like A Knife' and ‘This Time'.

His smash LP RECKLESS followed in 1984, delivering three of his biggest hits - ‘Summer of '69', ‘Heaven' and ‘Run To You'.

In 1991, he topped charts around the world with the epic power ballad, ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You'.

In 2015, he released his first album in seven years GET UP, produced by Jeff Lynne (E.L.O), featuring the hit single ‘You Belong To Me'.

His New Zealand shows come on the back of a successful world tour across the US, UK, Middle East, South America, South Africa and Europe.

Adams will perform 13 albums during the shows.

'He's got so many hits so you can expect a massive show,” says Pato.

'The production and everything we're working with for this show is huge.

'I'm pretty excited myself because I used to listen to his album when I was little, my mum would listen to him and I would dance around.

'It's the kind of music that brings back so many memories.”

Adams is being supported by two of New Zealand's most-loved and recognisable fixtures, Dave Dobbyn and the Jordan Luck Band (of the Exponents) who will both play sets and open for Adams at all four venues.

'It's going to be a great day and we're hoping for huge support from Tauranga locals so we can keep bringing these kind of artists to the city more regularly,” says Pato.

but the handling fees and credit card fees are way over the top. A $129 ticket becomes a $140 ticket. Oh and you print it yourself at home!
