Fine day in Tauranga

Video and photos by Rosalie Liddle Crawford.

Today the weather forecast is for a fine day with light winds.

It's a three-clothing layer and one-windproof layer day today with a high of 14 and an overnight low of five degrees.

This day in NZ history in 1947 assisted immigration resumed after the war.

The first draft of 118 British immigrants arrived in Auckland on the New Zealand Shipping Company liner Rangitata.

They were among 77,000 men, women and children who arrived from Great Britain under the assisted immigration scheme between 1947 and 1975.

Check out the rest of our weather wrap video filmed on the Tauranga Waterfront this morning.

Keep warm and have a great day!
