Bay of Plenty Regional Council's senior transport officer Mike Furniss says bus services using Stand B on Willow Street and Stand D on Wharf Street will be temporary relocated nearby locations, until further notice.

Bus notices and temporary signage are being installed today to notify those who catch buses from either of these stands of the changes, and bus drivers will also be advising passengers.

'These changes apply to both arrivals and departures of these services.”

  • Routes 78 and 79 (Matapihi and Maungatawa).

for goodness sake there use to be a dedicated bus stop on other side of baycourt with Tea rooms and toilets and was awesome, but NO TCC pulled it down and is just a concrete slab, this would have taken all the diesel fumes out of Willow st, how much did all this signage cost, there is NO NEED for all these yellow buses running all day and night empty, and have only 1 kid on board all the way out to Papamoa, TCCwill not listen to our concerns ,and would save $$$$$thousands of $s a year, a fleet of gas powered Mini vans could do the same job,but would i Know,Perth and Brisbane buses are natural gas powered, the Yellow buses should only run 4hrs tops each day ,WORK, AND HOME,last bus 6 oclock, after that find your own way home, YOU USE TOO,No1 Thankyou, 10-4 out. phew.
