A woman has been injured in a hit and run in Welcome Bay this evening.
A police spokesperson says two vehicles collided near the intersection of Kaitemako Road and Welcome Bay Road at around 5.42pn.
One of the vehicles has since left the scene.
A woman in the remaining vehicle has suffered ‘moderate to serious' facial injuries.
Traffic is slow-moving past the accident, but the road is not believed to be blocked.
