The BayTrust rescue helicopter was dispatched to Ruatahuna this morning, after a man suffered injuries a fall.
The 48-year-old local was stabilised by the on board paramedic, before being flown to Rotorua Hospital with lower back and leg injuries.
The helicopter was called due to remoteness of the area.
