What’s On? Squash & Herman’s Hermits

It's Sunday, and you're looking for something to do, aren't you?

The MetService is predicting a cloudy final day of the school holidays, with south-westerlies and a high of 15 degrees, so not too bad a day to get out and about in a jacket.

The World Junior Squash Championship semi-finals are taking place this afternoon, at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre. Tournament favourite Egypt is guaranteed a spot in the finals, with four of their players facing each other in a men's and women's semi-final. The first men's semi-final will begin at 3pm, and the women's at 4pm, with finals taking place from 5.30pm tomorrow at the same venue. Head along to watch some high-speed action from the best young players in the world.

Meanwhile tonight at Baycourt, fans of 1960s British pop will be entertained by Herman's Hermits. They were one of the biggest groups out of the UK with their hits, ‘Mrs Brown you've got a lovely daughter', ‘No milk today', ‘I'm Henry VIII', ‘There's a kind of hush', ‘A must to avoid' and 15 other New Zealand Top 10 hits. It's the last time they'll be performing in New Zealand, too, so don't muck around or you'll regret it. Tickets for the 7pm performance are from $55 at Ticketek.

Not your cup of tea? Well, hey, there's lots more on below:
