State Highway One has been blocked, due to a crash between two trucks near Taupo.
Two trucks collided near Motuoapa in Taupo, just before 1pm.
There are no serious injuries but the trucks are still blocking the road.
Police thank motorists for their patience while contractors work to clear the area as quickly as possible.
