Speedster busted with ‘poor’ loo excuse

According to police, the driver was doing 114km/h in a 50km/h posted speed area.

"I just needed to go home to go to the toilet"...

That was one driver's excuse for doing 114km/h in a 50km/h posted speed limit area.

Waikato Police took to Facebook last night after one officer pulled a driver over for speeding in the Hamilton area.

In the Facebook post, police describe driver's excuse for speeding as a 'poor” one.

'This occurred tonight on a busy Rototuna residential street, the particular area is very popular for evening walkers, runners with children, as well being a high density traffic area,” reads the post.

'It was extremely disappointing to see this manner of driving, and to think of the potentially serious consequences/road trauma it may have caused had this person not been stopped.

'There is absolutely no excuse for speeding.

'As a result, the driver received an immediate 28 day licence suspension and a day in court. His excuse stinks.”

Just as well he didn't do a runner in his claimed condition.

That happened to me once...

for real. I was busting and trying to get to any loo and got pulled over... the cop thought I was trying to do a runner and was going to have to run after me... until I got into the bushes... he backed off quickly tho... I had evidence (plenty of it) .... I was fortunate I was let off, I was only doing 80 in a 60 tho.... So, if the driver who got booked was for real, I can feel his pain... but if it was only BS.... nice try.

Well, I guess 60 in an 80 is quite a big movement

...genuinely sad that the Police have to defend themselves against a pillock who could not not have the knowledge to know if he needed to go to the toilet or not before his journey?...maybe he should ask his Mum for advise and stop wasting Police time on this ....ahem.....CRAP !!!.
