The left-hand lane of Takitimu Drive at the Elizabeth Street roundabout will be closed today while a washout on the Daisy Hardwick walkway is repaired.
New Zealand Transport Agency contractors will be carrying out the repairs and the lane is expected to be reopened at 3pm, ahead of peak time traffic.
While the repair work is carried out, the Daisy Hardwick walkway will also be closed in the area.
The NZTA says the lane closure may cause delays for Mount Maunganui bound traffic and it thanks motorists for their patience.
