Good morning SunLive readers, and welcome to what just might be the coldest Sunday of the year so far.
Fortunately, we have both indoor and outdoor events today, so there's something for everybody.
First up is the Coastguard's ‘MayDay' family event, which is an open day to showcase the valuable work the Coastguard does.
The two rescue boats will be there for public inspection, TECT Rescue will be alongside the new pontoon, and the amphibious Sealegs will be on the waterfront near the Coastguard's caravan and information centre.
The event takes place on The Strand waterfront from 11am-2pm.
For brides (and grooms) to be, the Bay of Plenty Wedding Show is a must today. There will be many exhibitors at ASB Arena, showcasing their products and services that make throwing a wedding easier and stress-free. The expo is on from 10am-4pm, with tickets $15 at the door.
