Good morning Sunners!

It's a crisp cold start to the day, with MetService predicting single-digit temperatures.

But there's plenty of activities happening in and around the city to help warm up your your Saturday!

Shimmy, shake, dance, and boogy down by the waterfront next weekend for a belly dancing event to raise funds for Tauranga Moana Women's Refuge.

The performances will take place near the new tidal stairs on the waterfront at 2.15pm, then again at 2.30pm at the Dance O'Mat, on The Strand.

Also on today, two bridges that link up the walk and cycleway loop around the Kopurererua Valley will be officially opened.

The formal opening of the two Kopurererua Valley bridges by Tauranga Mayor Greg Brownless and Kopurererua Valley Rotary Centennial Trust chairman Mark Dean is at the northern bridge near the Faulkner Street and 17th access to the valley at 11am.
