Tauranga Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at Lucky 7 Superette on Maungatapu Road.

Emergency services were called at about 6.45pm.

'A firearm was allegedly used, described as a black pistol by a witness. No one was injured,” says Senior Sergeant Graeme Hill.

'Two offenders fled the scene towards a nearby services station but were not located.”

Graeme says police are following lines of enquiry at this time and are seeking witnesses to the incident.
