Wild weather moves off

Flooding and slips on Waitao Road and Rocky Cutting Road. Photos: Cameron Avery.

Slips, flooding and heavy rain made for a dramatic day in the Bay yesterday, but things are looking a tad calmer today.

Most the severe weather has now moved off. A severe weather warning remains in place for the region, but this is expected to be reviewed later this morning.

The MetService is forecasting fine spells, with the change of showers and westerly winds.

Tomorrow is also looking fine with the odd shower in the morning.

While the wild weather maybe over, people will be waking to see the damage left in its wake.

Check out the photos below that SunLive photographer Cameron Avery snapped overnight.
