Police executing a search warrant at a Waikato property were surprised to find the person they were looking for half way through a suspected P-deal with another person.

'Our lean, mean, crime-fighting machines in Cambridge went to execute a search warrant at an address. Hoping to find a bit of P, they were surprised to find their person of interest half way through a suspected P-deal with another person,” says a post on the Waikato Police Facebook page.

'Not only that, after searching the house they found almost three grams of meth, a bunch of cannabis, a rifle, ammunition, meth pipes and an improvised explosive device.

'Needless to say, this chap has a day in Court and quite likely a long term tenancy with Her Majesty (jail).”

Waikato Police go on to say that drugs are bad, drugs are dangerous and no matter what kind of drug it is, officer will police it to the best of their ability.

'If you have information about drugs in your neighbourhood, feel free to let us know - even if its insignificant, it might be that tiny piece of the puzzle we are missing to get us a search warrant.

'You can either call your local coppers or get to crimestoppers.co.nz and follow their directions.”
