Simon Bridges under the spotlight

Tuesday night could be your chance to ask Simon Bridges that burning question. File photo.

Tauranga MP Simon Bridges will once again be put under scrutiny as he hosts a Q and A session for members of the public.

The MP Question Time will take place from 7pm to 8.30pm at Tauranga Boys' College on March 28, with all members of his electorate welcome.

The MP Question Time events are held twice a year, and Simon says this gives his constituents an opportunity to hear what he has been working on, both locally and in parliament, plus they can raise any issues or concerns.

'I enjoy hosting these events as I get to not only share what I have been doing, but I get a chance to hear from local people about what is on their minds.

'It is a great opportunity for me to engage with some of my constituents, who might not otherwise get in touch.”

Simon feels it's important to hold these events to gauge current concerns of people in his electorate.

'I represent the people of Tauranga in parliament. I will advocate on their behalf and will work with the appropriate people and agencies to get the best outcomes for our city.”

Topics which are generally covered during the event include, transport, education, housing and the economy.

Simon says he's looking forward to the varied questions he might be asked.
