UPDATED 4.15PM: A vehicle was left on its side after clipping a parked car on Edgecumbe Road in Tauranga.

Senior constable Chris Hills says the sole occupant of the car walked away uninjured from the crash between Fifth and Sixth avenues which occurred shortly before 4pm.

'For whatever reason the occupant of the Kia Rio has struck the right rear corner of a parked Honda which has acted like a fulcrum, or a ramp if you'd like.

'She wasn't trapped, but basically she couldn't get out because she obviously couldn't climb up out of the vehicle.”

Chris says the driver has been checked over by ambulance staff at the scene and was cleared of any injuries.

It is believed speed did not play a factor in the crash.

These stationery vehicles are being driven dangerously lately, they jump right out and hit you.

Interesting isn't it...

..how the word.."clipped"...is use more and more realistically as an "inoffensive" word to describe someone who drove into/hit another vehicle, maybe tomorrow a pedestrian...low speed..well thankfully, inattention?..(do please read texting or other distraction) ..inability to well, drive safely?...etc etc...yup all the things we make excuses for because...well., we are "only" human and supposed to make mistakes apparently....just too damn many!. and, just for the record, when did it actually become "acceptable" to make mistakes and in so many cases not prepared to take responsibility for them?
