Maintenance work may cause delays on Route K. File photo.

The Transport Agency is advising motorists to allow extra time for their journey on the SH29 Route K Toll Road in Tauranga next week, due to important maintenance work.

Repair crews will be on site nightly between 7pm to 6am from Sunday to Tuesday, March 26-28.

Resealing work will be carried out on Wednesday and Thursday, March 29-30, during the off-peak hours of 9am to 4pm.

Traffic Management with speed restrictions will be in place to ensure the safety of road crews and road users during this work.

Motorists are advised there may be delays.

The Transport Agency encourages road users to allow plenty of time for their journey on this route during this time.

No Tolls please

I hope the NZTA acknowledges that their loyal customers will not be getting the extra service level they are paying for when paying a toll and REMOVE the toll during the period of works. It would be unethical and irresponsible for the NZTA to leave the toll in place and potentially divert heavy traffic onto an already over loaded Cameron and Cambridge Roads.
