UPDATED 6.40PM: The driver of a vehicle which went over a bridge on State Highway 30 has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
Emergency services had to free the driver from the vehicle, which went off the bridge near the intersection of State Highway 30 and Kope Drain Road.
A police spokesperson says a detour was in place, but believes the road is now open.
A drain or pipe is thought to have been damaged in the accident, requiring council services to attend the incident as well.
The accident follows a fatal car crash in Awakeri yesterday, which claimed the life of a 60-year-old man.
5.55PM:
Traffic heading west on State Highway 30 is being diverted down Paroa Road onto Fortune Road.
A caller to the SunLive hotline says police are directing traffic away from the accident, believed to have occurred near the bridge at the intersection of State Highway 30 and Kope Drain Road.

A vehicle has reportedly flipped on State Highway 30, near Awakeri.
A police spokesperson says the accident happened at approximately 5.20pm.
The vehicle's occupant is reportedly trapped, with unknown injuries at this stage.
Police and ambulance services are currently in attendance.
