Rotary Matamata's Concert by the Lake is on this afternoon, bringing the sounds of top kiwi acts to a picturesque rural setting.

The Lady Killers, Jamie McDell and Two Many Chiefs fill the concert line-up, which takes place on a private property on the outskirts of Matamata from 1pm to 6pm.

The event is now in its third year. The first year saw Jamie McDell and Auckland jazz band The Society Jazzmen take to the specially designed and built pontoon on the lake.

Following modifications to the make the pontoon larger, last year it accommodated Dunes (Jamie and her sister Tess), Tim Armstrong's Beatle Tribute Band and Mount jazz act Kokomo.

Organisers of the 2017 Concert by the Lake are amped to have secured The Lady Killers (better known as Tina Cross, Jackie Clarke and Suzanne Lynch) along with Two Many Chiefs who are an off-shoot of Auckland act Hipstamatics. They are also thrilled to have Jamie McDell back for another year.

Tickets for the show are just $45 per adult or $100 for two adults and two children aged 12 and under.

All profits from the event go back into local Matamata youth and community projects.
