Vehicle on fire after SH33 crash

A vehicle has crashed and is on fire on SH33, south of Paengaroa.

Police, fire, and ambulance are in attendance.

Northern Fire Communications shift manager Paul Radden says Maketu and Te Puke fire service are in attendance, but they don't have details of the type of vehicle or if anyone is injured.

It is not known if the road is blocked, but drivers can expect delays as emergency services deal with the situation.
