The Brunel Group is looking for a café or restaurant operator for the ground floor of their Willow street project named ‘The Reserve'.

'It's a very good opportunity for somebody with a food operation – a café with a good view and a balcony across the park,” says construction manager Paul Anning.

'We are just going to start marketing.”

The top floor of the building is already leased, ahead of the expected completion date in April 2018.

On Thursday precast panels were installed around the basement parking level against the Liquorland wall and the rest of the site.

The under slab services for water and sewers have been installed. The construction will begin to emerge from the excavation following the installation of the basement slab over the base-course of compacted stone.

In places the basement slab will be one metre thick, says Paul.

In total it is about a $10 million project for the Brunel Group which is the design, Build and management company for owners JWL investment trust.

Demolition of the formers bars that occupied the site took place last winter.
