Police are appealing for any information about a crash between a motorbike and car near Omokoroa yesterday.
The highway was closed for a couple of hours as emergency services dealt with the crash scene.
Police are keen to talk to any witnesses who haven't spoken with them yet.

The motorcyclist who was injured in the crash still has serious injuries but is now in a stable condition.
