Police have identified the body of a man found in the Waikato River on Sunday.

A post-mortem carried out yesterday has revealed that 31-year-old Anthony Chanpraseuth drowned.

Detective Inspector Hywel Jones says police are continuing to try and reconstruct Anthony's movements in the time leading up to his death.

'Police would like to speak with anyone who may have seen Mr Chanpraseuth in Hamilton city centre in the late hours of Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday morning.
