Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter received one job after another on Saturday afternoon, arriving at Waikato Hospital with a medical patient from Waihi, only to be despatched to Waharoa to collect a critically injured six year old boy.

The flight from Waihi was to transport a seriously ill 63 year old local man to hospital for treatment for a medical condition.

'While in Hamilton we were dispatched to Waharoa where a six year old local boy had collided with a concrete bridge whilst riding his bike,” says pilot Liam Brettkelly.

'He received critical head injuries as a result and was flown to Waikato hospital for specialist care,”
