A serious crash has occurred on the Kaimais this evening.

Police are responding to a car versus car incident at the intersection of Thorn Road and State Highway 29.

A police spokesperson says police arrived on the scene at 5.10pm.

The occupants are out of the vehicles. One patient with moderate injuries is being treated by ambulance personnel at the scene.

A tow truck has been requested.

Traffic is not reported as being impeded.
