‘Tis the season to be jolly' so the song goes, but for many people Christmas is anything but jolly – so More FM wants to change this.

The radio station's Stuff the Bus campaign is an opportunity for Bay locals to help those people in the community who are doing it tough in the lead up to this year's holiday season.

'Help us stuff the bus with labelled presents, with the age and sex the present is suitable for, and non-perishable food for local Bay charities in the lead up to Tauranga's Christmas in the Park,” says Mediaworks Radio Tauranga general manager Belinda Francis.

'We've got the bus thanks to Bethlehem Coachlines and it's on the streets of the Bay until Saturday, December 10.”

Charities that are set to receive the donations include Womens Refuge, Homes of Hope, Good Neighbour Trust and the Shakti Womens Refuge.

A number of local businesses have also thrown their support behind the campaign and includes Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, Gerrand Floorings, Pyes Pa Dentists, Harbourside Restaurant, Tauriko Business Estate, Pacific Toyota, Downtown Tauranga, Guild & Spence Electrical.
