Regular users of Bay of Plenty Regional Council's Live Monitoring website may notice a number of gaps in the data as radio interference causes a number of issues.

Council's data services manager Glenn Ellery says the problem was caused by interference on the radio repeater and the service provider is currently working on a solution.

'For several days now we have been intermittently unable to get live monitoring data from a few sites around the Bay of Plenty.

'The service provider is trying to find the cause of the interference so we can work on a solution. Until then, we have a number of gaps in our data on the website.

'I want to reassure everyone that we have alternate methods in place and can still monitor river levels and issue river level warnings as usual. We are working with the service provider to get that information coming back onto our site as soon as possible.”
