Mystery crash at Hairini

Mystery surrounds the crash of a Mitsubishi Pajero down the bank at Hairini. The vehicle was being towed away about 4pm, but it's not known when it went over the bank.

Police have no report on the incident, as available officers were this afternoon dealing with traffic backed up from an accident on SH2 near Youngson Road.

The Pajero left the road on the uphill lanes from the Hairini Causeway heading towards the Maungatapu roundabout. Traffic was reduced to one lane while the Pajero was removed.

At 5.28am 6th October was when the car left the road. 2 vehicles stopped to help and by the time emergency crew arrived( an ambulance 20min) (2 police and a fire truck 30min) all those who had stopped to help and the occupant/s of the car had left the scene. Hopefully everyone was ok.

I'm confused. The car left the road on the 6th of October? And it was only removed yesterday, 19th October? I travel along that road every day but haven't seen it there? Maybe a blonde moment for me LOL
