The votes are in and the final figures have been released for the new Tauranga City Council.

Elected are (in order of votes received):

Mayor: Greg Brownless

Council - at large: Kelvin Clout, Gail McIntosh, Max Mason and Rick Curach

Mount Maunganui - Papamoa Ward: Steve Morris and Leanne Brown

Otumoetai - Pyes Pa Ward: Larry Baldock and Catherine Stewart

Te Papa - Welcome Bay Ward: Bill Grainger and Terry Molloy

Congratulations to the Mayor and Councillors, new and returning.

The next few weeks will be dedicated to inducting all Elected Members, before they are officially sworn in during an inaugural Council meeting on Monday, October 31.

The first meeting of Council will be on Tuesday, November 22.

During this meeting Elected Members will officially adopt their code of conduct, standing orders and the governance structure (committees, chairpersons and deputies).

The first normal business Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 6.
