New Priority One CEO announced

After an extensive search Priority One is pleased to announce Nigel Tutt is the economic development agency's new chief executive.

Priority One chair Brett Hewlett is excited to have Nigel join the team, saying the new chief executive's background in the private sector will bring significant commercial experience and knowledge to the key role.

'He will be a great compliment to what has proven a very successful team at Priority One, and sets us up nicely to take economic development in Tauranga and the Western BOP to a new level.”

Most recently Nigel has been chief executive of Affinity ID Limited, an industry leading marketing technology company with offices in New Zealand and Australia.

He also led the digital media arm of Fairfax Media NZ and also worked in senior roles in supply chain management, export planning and sales and operations.

Nigel will commence in the chief executive role starting November 28.

Priority One is the economic development agency covering Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. The autonomous organisation was established by the business community and receives support in the form of funding and expertise via business memberships.

The agency is also contracted to deliver economic outcomes by Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District councils.
