Road resurfacing underway

There will be resurfacing on many sections of roads across the city over the next four months, with the bulk of the work in October, November and December.

Properties that are directly affected will be notified by a mail box notice.

Roads affected for this week include: Ngarata Rd, Fairway Ave, Ocean Beach Rd, Dickson Rd, Doncaster Rd, Oripi Rd, Maxwells Rd, Windsor Rd, Lebanon St, Grange Rd, Carmichael Rd, Bethlehem Rd, Argyll Rd, Alverstoke Rd, Henderson Cres, Roys Rd, and Cheyne Rd.

Ongoing work is currently taking place on Maunganui Road between Tawa Street and Sunderland Avenue, principally on the pavement.

Works have commenced to improve cycleway facilities on Poike Road. It is expected to take 12 weeks to complete the SH29 over-bridge and cycle lane.

Works continue on the SH29/Takitimu Drive and SH36/Taurikura Drive roundabouts, where there may be some delays, especially during peak traffic periods.

Upgrades to the section of Tara Road, between Royal Ascot Drive and Doncaster Drive, are ongoing, and people are being warned to expect some delays.
